Lost
Security blankets: they grow tired and old,
Holding their secrets unheard and untold.
I grow desperate when our hearts divide,
I look for things you no longer provide.
Your promise not kept, 'forever' a lie?
I no longer see us in your eyes.
Instead I see you, selfish, like the sea,
And constant waves of your love crash down on me.
This love was lost, not mine to keep,
This love has me swimming too deep,
It's crushing me now, swallowing me whole,
But you were always my end goal.
Don't leave me now with nothing to hold,
No safety blanket- I'm empty and cold.
Let me in baby, come back to me,
This security blankets getting harder
